Green Bean Casserole In Air Fryer

One of my all time favourite air fryer recipes is air fryer frozen green beans. I can load frozen green beans into the air fryer, add a little bit of extra virgin olive oil spray and I have perfect crispy green beans. They then make the most effortless veggie side dish for dinner.

I normally pair my green beans with some air fryer frozen salmon fillets for a quick lunch or sometimes serve the green beans alongside some leftovers I am heating up in the microwave.

But I feel like I don’t get enough out of green beans and how AMAZING they are. They are just air fried as a yummy crispy vegetable and then eaten like French fries.

So today, I decided that I would give the frozen green beans a makeover and show you how to make an air fryer green beans casserole.

We would keep it as simple as possible as I am sure you don’t want a complicated holiday side.

I took the cheese sauce I had made for air fryer lasagna (I always make too much cheese sauce) and poured it over the green beans, used leftover breadcrumbs from when we made air fryer KFC chicken and used some of our air fryer frozen bacon.

Paired together it made the fastest and easiest green bean casserole ever and it tastes so good that you won’t want to share it with anyone!

Green Bean Casserole Ingredients

Green Bean Casserole Ingredients

Beans – Lets start with your green beans. I used about 400g of frozen green beans, but you can use fresh, and you can use less or more compared to our quantity.

Cheese Sauce – I love making something once and then been able to recycle it into several meals. Me and cheese sauce work like this. I made an air fryer lasagna using my soup maker cheese sauce and then the spare cheese sauce became the sauce for the green beans.

Bacon. This ultimate green bean casserole wouldn’t be the same without the delicious crispy bacon. You can cook the bacon separately in the air fryer, and then add to the top of the casserole for the final few minutes of cooking.

Breadcrumbs – I also recommend adding in some breadcrumbs for the wow factor. I always have a supply in the freezer so that I can just grab some to defrost for a quick dinner.

Seasonings – Then for quick green bean casserole seasonings I have gone with salt, pepper, along with garlic powder and onion powder.

Then for the kitchen gadgets that we have used in this green bean casserole in air fryer it has just been our Philips air fryer. We have this one and its wonderful for many types of air fryer recipes.

Plus, we recommend you head over to our air fryer recipes category as we have more than 500 tried and tested air fryer recipes and have been air frying for 10 years.
