For the month of June our cooking tips department is dedicated to not only making amazing sauces and dips in just 3 minutes but healthy ones too.
It is amazing how easy it is to become lazy and rely on jars of sauces and dips rather than making our own. They are just easy to buy and always there on the supermarket shelf. But they can be full of madness and if you can make your own in 3 minutes and it costs a lot less than buying it at the supermarket then what is the point in shop bought.
To kick start the month I am sharing with you my 3 minute honey and mustard mayonnaise. The inspiration for this recipe came from pregnancy. When I was pregnant with Sofia what I hated was the fact that mayonnaise was banned. You were not allowed raw eggs in your diet (for obvious reasons) and the thought of a pregnancy with tomato ketchup didn’t sound great.
So what did I do?
I mixed Greek Yoghurt with honey and mustard and it became my new super tasty mayonnaise. Greek Yoghurt is also really good for you and can provide you with a good calcium kick during pregnancy or when you’re breastfeeding. It is also excellent for growing children and my kids love it!
But best of all I can make a big carton of honey and mustard mayonnaise in just 3 minutes without any extra washing up (just the spoon you mix it with) and it is absolutely delicious and really healthy!
- 250ml Greek Yoghurt
- 3Tbsp Mustard
- 2Tbsp Honey
- 1Tsp Garlic Puree
- Pour your ingredients into your mayonnaise jar and mix well with a spoon.
- Fridge for when you need it.
